Privacy
CopyMosaic is built by a small team. We collect the minimum we need to run an external page monitor for you. This document tells you what we keep, where it lives, and how long.
What we collect
Your account email. Used to sign you in and send alert emails. Not shared, not sold, not used for marketing beyond our own product.
Report email (optional). If you ask us to email you a free scan report, we store the address with that scan to send the report and one courtesy re-check of the same page 7 days later. Two emails total, both with one-click unsubscribe. Not shared, not sold.
The URLs you scan and monitor. Stored to render reports and re-check pages on a schedule. Visible only to you.
The results of those scans. The report payload — redirect chain, detected tracking, console errors, page copy snippets, screenshots — is stored alongside the URL. This is the product.
Screenshots. Desktop and mobile images from each scan, kept as evidence.
What we don’t collect
We don’t fingerprint you, we don’t run analytics that follow you off the marketing pages we publish, and we don’t have an advertising network. The headless browser that scans your pages is logged out and sees them exactly as a stranger would.
For our own page counts we run a self‑hosted instance of Umami, a cookieless, open‑source analytics tool. It sets no cookies, stores no personal identifiers, and the data never leaves our server. No Google Analytics, no third‑party trackers.
Payments
Stripe handles payment data. We never see or store card numbers. Your billing status and last‑four of card are visible to us via Stripe’s dashboard.
If you subscribe to monitoring, you’ll get one short weekly recap and an alert email when a daily check detects a break. You can mute alerts per monitor or pause monitors entirely. If you ask for a free scan report by email, you’ll get that report and one follow-up re-check a week later, nothing else. Unsubscribe once and we stop emailing that address.
Retention
We keep your scans and monitor history for as long as your account is open, so your reports and the trends behind them are there when you come back, including after you cancel a subscription. We don’t sell it, share it, or use it for anything but running your monitor.
We’d rather hold less than more. Ask us to drop a single scan, clear your monitor history, or remove all of it, and we’ll take care of it. We don’t run ads or resell data, so there’s nothing we gain by keeping more than you want us to.
Deleting your account
Delete your account yourself from account settings, or email [email protected] if you want help: your scans, monitor history, URLs, and screenshots are removed. The only thing we keep is what we’re legally required to hold for accounting (Stripe receipts, basically).
