Do your tracking links survive the redirect?

Paste a campaign URL with its UTM tags or click IDs on it, and we follow the redirects to see whether your attribution parameters reach the final page or get silently dropped along the way. Free, no signup.

What we check

Paste a URL that has tracking parameters on it - a real campaign or ad link, like yoursite.com/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_campaign=launch, or one carrying a gclid or fbclid. We follow your redirect chain hop by hop and check whether those attribution parameters survive all the way to the final URL, or get stripped somewhere in the middle. We recognize the common ones: UTM tags (utm_source, utm_medium, and the rest), Google/Facebook/TikTok/LinkedIn click IDs (gclid, fbclid, ttclid, li_fat_id), and ref/affiliate tags.

This only works if the URL you paste actually carries tracking parameters - that's what we trace. Paste a bare URL with no tags and there's nothing to check, so a clean result just means nothing was there to drop. Give us the link the way it looks in your ad or campaign, parameters and all.

Why it matters

This is the silent leak that makes your analytics lie. You run an ad or a campaign with proper UTM tags, but somewhere in the redirect chain - an http-to-https hop, a link shortener, a marketing redirect - the parameters get dropped before the visitor lands. The page loads fine, the visit counts, but it shows up in your analytics as 'direct' or organic instead of the campaign you paid for.

So your numbers quietly misattribute: the channel that's actually working looks dead, the campaign you'd cut looks like your best, and you make budget calls on data that's wrong without knowing it. Nothing errors - the link works, the sale happens, the attribution just evaporates. Checking whether your tags survive the trip is the difference between trusting your funnel data and guessing.

Questions

What URL should I paste?

The campaign link exactly as it carries its tracking parameters - for example yoursite.com/?utm_source=...&utm_campaign=..., or a link with a gclid or fbclid on it. The parameters are what we trace through your redirects, so they need to be on the URL you give us.

Which tracking parameters do you check?

The common attribution ones: UTM tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, and the like), click IDs from Google, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn (gclid, fbclid, ttclid, li_fat_id), and ref/affiliate tags. A custom parameter outside those won't be tracked.

I pasted my homepage and it came back clean - am I fine?

Only if that URL had tracking parameters on it. A bare URL with no tags has nothing to drop, so 'clean' there just means there was nothing to test. To actually check attribution, paste a link that carries the UTM or click-ID parameters you care about.

Is it really free?

Yes. Paste a URL and run it, no account needed. The same scan also runs all of CopyMosaic's other checks, and you can open the full report to see them.

CopyMosaic checks what an unauthenticated visitor can see from the outside. It does not verify server-side tracking, payment completion, CRM routing, or logged-in flows.
